Dear Friends, Lovers of eternal Saint-Tropez, the sea and words...

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us on 16 June for the sixth edition of Saint-Tropez Couleur Bleu, a tribute to Colette, the writer whose 150th birthday we are celebrating, and who trod the soil of Saint-Tropez for fifteen years with her sturdy Burgundian feet, She frolicked on the Plage des Canebiers, lunching in the shade of a wisteria lovingly sketched by Dunoyer de Segonzac, and writing her most beautiful books with the shutters closed, including "La naissance du jour", which is first and foremost a celebration of life. She was also the first defender of animals and the plump mermaid who celebrated the crystal-clear water she reached every morning in a woollen swimming costume.

Like the heroines of our godmother Maud Fontenoy, she could have been one of those "women-oceans" or "women-elements" described by the navigator in her latest book, so attuned was she to the natural environment from an early age. The garden of Saint-Sauveur will remain her eternal Madeleine, remarkably protected by the guardian of the temple: Frédéric Maget. And the wisteria of the Treille Muscate, her celestial vault!

After Signac, the painter and Mariner celebrated last year, now comes Colette, the multi-faceted writer - two figures from the cultural heritage of Saint-Tropez to whom we and the City of Saint-Tropez are paying tribute, entrusting the artist JBC with the task of capturing, through his work which combines an explosion of colour with a black gaze, the joyful yet serious nature of the woman with the cat's face. The public will be able to immerse themselves in the life and work of the woman who wrote: "There is no road through Saint-Tropez. There's only one that takes you there and that's as far as it goes. If you want to set off again, you have to turn back. But will you want to go back?

The answer is in the question.
